Miladore Cermaics
Squiggle Co was commissioned to create a new brand identity for Miladore Ceramics, a studio rooted in both handmade craftsmanship and community learning. Alongside producing their own pottery and ceramic pieces, Miladore Ceramics offers educational classes that invite local people to explore the process of making, shaping, and working with clay themselves.
The brief was to design a logo that felt distinctly hand drawn, reflecting the tactile nature of pottery, while remaining clear and legible when stamped into the base of ceramic pieces. Striking this balance was essential—the mark needed to retain its character and warmth even when reduced to a simple impression in clay.
The final logo combines expressive, hand-rendered typography with delicate pottery-inspired icons, carefully drawn to complement the lettering without overpowering it. These subtle details help tell the story of the craft, reinforcing the studio’s focus on process, material, and human touch.
A palette of clay-like, earthy tones was chosen to give the identity an organic, grounded feel, drawing directly from the natural materials used in the studio. The result is a flexible, authentic visual identity that feels at home on finished pieces, studio signage, educational materials, and digital platforms—capturing both the artistry of Miladore Ceramics and its role as a creative hub within the local community.
